Validation

Oak Creek, Slide Rock State Park, AZ taken by me on our honeymoon.

Have you ever wondered or thought about what your true purpose in life is about? I'm talking beyond the day to day survival things we do just to have a roof over our heads, and food on the table. Life has a way of burying the truth inside our hearts about what we know to be true about our reason for living, and giving back to others.

What would you do if you could do anything you wanted to with your life?
With your talents?
With your gifts?

Everyone has a higher purpose.
Everyone has talents and gifts.
Everyone not just some.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about your gifts, your mission in life, your talents. I'd love to know what you would do if given time and opportunities to live your life freely. Leave me comment then go watch this video that expresses an idea about changing lives by validating others and the gift of exhorting. We can do so much by using this one gift of lifting others up with our words and our smiles.

I am grateful to have so many talented, gifted, kind, knowledgeable, resourceful, spiritual, funny, happy, loving, giving, and unique people following me on my blog, and in my life.
You all have changed my life for the better.
Thank you!

  1. My purpose in life is to be where I'm needed. I'm a helper, a listening ear, a gentle hand... God puts people in my life that need encouragement. I love the gift He gave me.

  2. Oh, my sweet Lily... Yes, you are an exhorter. Do you have any idea how many times you've lifted me up from the bowels of despair?? You always have the exact thing I needed to hear, feel or do at exactly the time I needed it. Yes, even your sassy quips have kept me on my toes. I am so very blessed to have you in my life, Sis. Everyone who meets you, knows you or will know you will agree with me. I can't wait for our time coming very soon to spend a quality amount of time with each other. Yippeeeeee! I love the gift He gave you, too.

  4. Isn't it great??!! I have a shorter attention span than I used to but this video held my interest to the end, too. Then it all made sense, and made me even more grateful for you and others like you in my life. ** heart smiles**

  5. If I had all the money and time in the world, I would be a full-time artist. This is what I have always wanted to be, but I didn't have the courage when I was young to make that choice when it came time to going to college and choosing a career. My family never envisioned "artist" as an occupation, so I was encouraged to be a nurse, a medical illustrator (same as artist, right?), architect, anything but artist. I became a journalist. Now, mid-life, what is it that I still yearn to be? Full-time artist. I have no idea what the purpose of my art is. I just know that there have been times when I have been so frustrated that I could not "make" the art "do" what I wanted it to do, blamed it on lacking the art school skills, and decided to give up on art. But I have never been able to let it go, or rather it won't let me go...So it must be part of my life purpose. Still don't know what the purpose is. But it is just part of who I am. Breathing out now...Thanks for the question. :-)

  6. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all be what we truly want to be? I think I would need at least 10 of me to do all the things I would like to do. :)
