Passages

Shortly after my last post on August 8 I found out Jake's dad, Tom, had passed away earlier that day--it was his birthday. Three days later my Dad passed away. It's been a rough couple of weeks. I'm so happy Tom got to see his grandson, Emery, in March. I saw my Dad in October on my birthday. It was the first long distance trip I've made in a car since the accident. It was worth the stress of being in a car.

We are never guaranteed tomorrow. We are blessed to have today. For this I am grateful. I know we'll meet again on the other side. There is peace and comfort knowing that. Thank you all for your prayers. My family appreciates each of one. I do as well.

My lap top picked up a virus on Face Book... Bummer. Superman to the rescue... once again. He is indeed my Super Hero. He's loaned me his puter and is de-lousing mine. Be careful what you open on Face Book. I got my virus clicking on a person's name to block her from sending me advertisements. Who'd have thunk it???

I'll be back soon with regular posts. I'll have pictures of the remodel to show you but cannot get to them until my puter is cleaned up. In the meantime, be good to yourself and to those around you. It may be the last time you get to.

Inside My Art Studio

The studio is coming along nicely.
Granted, with the remodel,
it is crammed full of things
that don't belong in it.
But I can still create
to my heart's content...

See the Christmas stocking
hanging on the side
of my Idea Board?
Nolly Posh from the land of OZ
made it for me.
It's made out of felted wool.
I keep it up
all year long.
My studio is full
of things that stimulate
my creative flow
or simply make me
hApPy.

When I was a teenager
growing up in southern CA
I wanted to become a hippie
when I grew up...
And I did.
Along with the 289
other things I dreamed of doing.
Isn't it fun becoming anything
you want to become???

How Pets Handle Stress

Here's how Opie Taylor and George Clooney AKA Wonder Dog have been handling the stress of the house remodel.

I need to try this.

I don't know what happened to his newspaper
but I know he was reading
because he still has his reading glasses on.

Playing chase is a sure fire way to relieve stress
especially when you can
fly through the plastic barriers
at warp speed.

Before pics coming next...

Superman Shot Me

Superman did a photo shoot with me in our backyard a couple of days ago. It's hard not to smile from your toes when a real live super hero is telling you over and over how mahhhhvelous you look as he snaps and snaps and begs for more. See why I love this man? I'll add the complete set later to my Pictures of Lille.

Jax and Birdie (moi) at the beach

We had such a lovely time in FL. We absolutely fell madly in love with Jackson, our newest grandson. Superman & I did manage not to eat him up completely even though his toes, his nose, his fingers, belly and thighs told us to. Repeatedly! Why else would they call them "Grand" babies? Cuz they are GRAND!

We've been fluffing the Fortress and are moving the rest of my things over from the Lily Pad. [Aren't you curious how one fluffs a Fortress??] Stay tuned for peeks at the new remodel on our nest. Plus a fun way to include you in our wedding.

But first...
Here's a little video from our trip to FL.
